What Does Active Today Mean On Instagram?
The active today status on Instagram is a bit complicated. All the other three statuses specify the hours of active status, but activity today does not do that. If a user has opened Instagram even once in the last 24 hours, your status will be shown as active today. But if the activity status is shown as Active x hours ago, it simply means the user has opened Instagram at least once in the past 8 hours. Difference Between Active Today & Active Now on Instagram
Although active today and active now status might sound similar but there is a huge difference between the two. Active now status gives the update the user is currently active on Instagram. If you are active on Instagram for at least the last 5 minutes, your activity status will be shown as active now. But in case you have been inactive on the Instagram app for more than 5 minutes, Instagram will show your activity status as Active x m/h ago.
